Turbine 68 oils are modern high quality, chemically stable steam turbine oils formulated from specially selected, hydrocracked base oils to meet steam turbine requirements. They contain rust inhibitors, metal deactivators, and defoamants and exhibits good demulsibility that permit water and other contaminants to readily separate from the oil in the system reservoir. Turbine 68 oils is designed to provide resistance to thermal degradation in the presence of entrained air and catalysing metals in steam turbine systems.
Application: TURBINE OIL are recommended for the lubrication of steam, water and industrial gas turbines. They may also be used to lubricate machines driven by steam turbines such as generators, compressors and pumps. TURBINE OIL can also be used in vacuum pumps and hydraulic systems.
Specifications: TURBINE OIL meets or exceeds the following specifications: BS 489 DIN 51515 U.S. Steel 120 General Electric GEK 32568 A
Characteristics: TURBINE OIL has been blended from specially selected Gourp II paraffinic base oils, which have been carefully refined to give very high oxidation stability, and contain corrosion inhibitors and anti-oxidants. Low foam stability and rapid air release properties prevent excessive air entrainment, which would otherwise shorten oil life through oxidation.
